Early on, we saw a huge outpouring of support for Obama from young people – including many voters participating in politics for the very first time. These voters wanted the campaign to be about “big” things. They fed off the energy of their peers. And they wanted to know the candidate was speaking to them in an authentic way.
To accomplish this, we used footage from Obama’s first round of big rallies, intermixing excerpts of his speech with images of young people engaged in the political process. We originally ran this spot on a “youth” track, but introduced it to a national audience during the Super Bowl.
