AKPD Message and Media, Chicago’s premier political consulting firm, is seeking a full-time intern for our office. Our intern will assist with research, ad production, and other projects as needed. You’ll
watch campaign strategy develop and unfold, and have a hand in creating campaign media.
We are hoping to hire as quickly as possible for an internship that runs through the beginning of November.
Responsibilities Include:
- Some video and audio editing
- Organizing digital and tape archives
- Providing administrative support to the office
- Covering office reception duties as needed, including but not limited to: answering phones, greeting guests, processing mail and packages
Qualifications and Requirements
- Intern must be self-motivated
- Superior organizational skills and ability to meet strict deadlines required
- Ability to prioritize, work independently, and follow through on projects
- Strong, flexible team player
- Campaign experience preferred
- Knowledge of production and compression software preferred
- Experience with Final Cut Pro, DVD Studio Pro, Sorenson Squeeze, Episode, Compressor, and Photoshop a plus
- Familiarity with DigiBeta and MiniDV decks, Panasonic Mini DV cameras a plus
Note: This internship is unpaid, although a transportation stipend will be provided.
